The ICAR-Indian Institute of Millets Research in Hyderabad is inviting eligible candidates to participate in a walk-in interview for the positions of Research Manager and Research Associate. The interviews will take place on June 7, 2024, starting at 10:00 AM at the Nutrihub, ICAR – Indian Institute of Millets Research, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad.
Positions Overview:
1.Research Manager

Project: APEDA
-
Emoluments: ₹65,000 per month (Consolidated)

Project Duration: Until December 2024
Essential Qualifications:
-
Master's degree in Agriculture and allied sciences.

Experience in Agriculture Economics, Food Processing, Agri-Business Management, Branding & Advertisement.
-
At least 2 years of relevant field experience.

Preference for candidates from reputed business schools.
Desirable Qualifications:
-
Ph.D. in relevant fields is preferred.
-
Proven skills in documentation, analysis, and research communication.

Experience in branding, digital marketing, FMCG/food sector, cereals processing machinery, and post-harvest machinery.

Ability to handle incubation, startups, data analysis, and documentation.

Proficiency in English and MS-Office, statistical packages, and computer usage.

Willingness to travel for field visits.
2.Research Associate

Project: NFSM (In-Vivo Health Benefits)

Emoluments: ₹49,000 per month + HRA for Master's degree holders; ₹54,000 per month + HRA for Ph.D. holders (HRA as per ICAR rules)

Project Duration: Until April 2025
Essential Qualifications:
-
For Doctoral Degree Holders: Ph.D. in Food Sciences & Nutrition, Food Chemistry, Food Technology, Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics, or allied fields with at least one year of experience in human intervention studies.

For Master's Degree Holders: Master's degree in relevant subjects with a 4/5 year Bachelor's degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent GPA, at least three years of research experience evidenced by fellowship/associate ship/training, and one research paper in SCI/NAAS-rated journal.
Desirable Qualifications:

Experience in clinical trials, new product development, advanced food processing techniques, and plant protein isolation.

Knowledge of nanoparticles in product development, particularly with millets, food chemistry, and nutrition.

Expertise in lab instruments, statistical data analysis, and documentation.

Proficiency in English and MS-Office.

Willingness to travel to field sites.

The advertised positions are temporary and purely contractual, lasting until the project expiry. The age limit for applicants is up to 40 years as of the interview date, with upper age relaxation of five years for SC/ST/women candidates and three years for OBC candidates as per the rules.
