Senior Research Fellow (SRF) at ICAR-IARI

The Division of Vegetable Science at the ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) is conducting a walk-in interview for the position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) under the project titled "CRP on Hybrid Technology (Tomato)," funded by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The interview will take place on July 25, 2024, starting at 2:30 PM at the Division of Vegetable Science, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi.

Project and Position Details

  • Project Name: CRP on Hybrid Technology (Tomato): ICAR funded

  • Position Title: Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

  • Emoluments: ₹35,000/- per month + HRA @ 27% (fixed) as per ICAR guidelines

  • Number of Positions: 01

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Genetics, Plant Breeding, Plant Breeding and Genetics, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related subjects from a recognized university

  • 3, 4, or 5 years of Bachelor’s degree

  • NET Qualification

  • 2 years of research experience

Desirable Qualification:

  • Experience in breeding of tomato crop

Age Limit:

  • Maximum age is 35 years

  • Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST & women, 3 years for OBC

The position is purely temporary, time-bound, and co-terminus with the project. The appointment will be on an annual basis, contingent on progress and fund availability.
