ICAR-National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources (NBPGR) is inviting applications for  upcoming walk-in interviews to fill one position of Young Professional I (YP-I) on a contractual basis under the Unified Budget. The interview will take place at ICAR-NBPGR, located in Pusa Campus, New Delhi. Here are the details:

Qualifications  and Eligibility

  • BSc Agriculture, BSc (with zoology, botany, and chemistry), Zoology, Plant Protection, or Life sciences from a recognized university or its equivalent. Additionally, possessing a Master's degree in Zoology with specialization in Entomology or Agricultural Entomology is considered desirable. 

  • Experience in insect rearing, analysis of biological data, and evaluation of germplasm for biotic stresses, coupled with proficiency in Entomological techniques, would be advantageous. 

  • The minimum age requirement for applicants is 21 years, while the upper age limit is set at 45 years. 

  • Relaxation in age criteria is provided as per the Government of India rules, including a 5-year relaxation for SC/ST candidates, a 3-year relaxation for OBC candidates, and a 5-year relaxation for women.

Monthly Remuneration

Rs 30,000/- consolidated

Selection Procedure

  • A minimum of five candidates will be shortlisted for the YP-I position based on their academic qualifications as per the assessment criteria. 

  • Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to attend the interview.

  • The selection process will primarily consider the candidate's educational qualifications, relevant experience, and performance in the interview.
