Young Professional-II at ICAR-IARI

The Division of Vegetable Science at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, is inviting applications for the position of Young Professional-II on a purely contractual basis. This opening is available under the DUS Project titled “DUS Testing of Amaranth, Palak, and Ridge Gourd” (Project No. 24-278) funded by the Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights Authority (PPVFRA).

Position Details

  • Post: Young Professional-II

  • Number of Positions: 01

  • Salary: ₹42,000/- (Consolidated)

  • Duration: The position is temporary, time-bound, and co-terminus with the project. Appointment will be on a yearly basis depending on progress and availability of funds.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Qualification: Candidates must have a Post Graduate degree in Horticulture, Vegetable Science, or Basic Science, or a Graduate degree in Agricultural Science. 

  • Desirable Experience: At least two years of experience in morphological characterization of cucurbits/leafy vegetables and conducting field trials.

Age Limit

  • Maximum Age: 45 years

  • Age Relaxation: Five years for SC/ST/Women candidates and three years for OBC candidates.
