Kanwal Singh Chauhan

Awarded with Padmashree in 2019 and, AIFA Progressive Farmar Award in 2017, Kanwal Singh Chauhan is a progressive farmer from Aterna village in Sonepat, Haryana. He markets his products via his own brand - Shell Mount Fresh. Kanwal Singh owns an Integrated Unit for Mushroom Development. He started farming at a very young age of 16. He started organic farming in 2002. He introduced Baby Corn in his village in 1997. It is almost 23 years since he took over baby corn farming, but he has inspired the entire Aterna village and its farmers to baby corn farming and has taught them how to reap profits very intelligently. He said he generates around Rs 4.5-5 crore per annum from baby corn farming.

Arun Mandal

Arun Mandal

A progressive farmer from Vidhan Nagar Siliguri, West Bengal, Arun Mandal is an Innovative Farmer Award - 2018. Arun Mandal established North Bengal pineapple grower’s association in 2002, In the year 2014, he introduced the use of pineapple in honey production and thus developed the concept of pineapple honey. He has introduced various modern pineapple varieties in his area and nearby and also motivated many farmers towards pineapple cultivation. He markets his produce with his brand Mandal’s Pineapple.

Ajinkya Hange

Ajinkya Hange

Awarded by Best Framer Award, Govt. of Maharashtra, Ajinkya Hange has 30 acres in Bhodani village of Indrapur District of Maharashtra. Ajinkya along with his brother Satyajit started their brand - Two Brothers Organic Farm after working in the corporate industry. Satyajit is an economics graduate and MBA and Ajinkya, a CS graduate and MBA. They both have served various banks before coming into agriculture.

They initially started full-time work on the farm in the year 2012. They traveled to procure seeds and started their planting in 2012-14. At present they grow around 24 acres of seasonal crops in both seasons, in Kharif and Rabi, and fruit trees like Pomegranates, Banana, Drumsticks, Nimbu, Pulses like Tur Dal, Groundnut and Grains like Bajra. They have set aside 1.5 acres for Cetaphil, Ram phal, Guava, and Mango. A turnover starting from Rs 20,000 and growing to Rs 20-50 lakhs. As of now, they have reached out to 616 cities and export to 34 countries.

Yash Jayantibhai Padhiyar

Yash Jayantibhai Padhiyar

The founder of Heer Organics, Banaskantha, Gujarat, Yash Jayantibhai Padhiyar completed his postgraduation from Singapore. His Inspiration for turning into organic farming was his mother (who is a cancer patient). He allows his customers to visit and buy directly from his farm and also gives them a chance to involve in farming activities like U-Pick concepts by selling the experience. He also has an organic store in Palanpur. Yash is selling his produce mostly online via the Facebook page “Heer organics”, which he has been operating for quite a long time.

Shaji GR is the owner of Prapancha Green Mart Chakkamukku and the Co-ordinator Jackfruit Promotion Consortium. Prapancha Green Mart is a humble beginning that was launched on 14th April 2015, with a for-sightedness of growing & leading to flower, bloom, and branch out in the society at large. They started the project with Quality of Safe Food under this banner, ‘Key to Purity’. The shop is at ITI junction, Chandanathope, Kollam, Kerala for Jack fruit, and its value-added products. The high demand for their product is met through WhatsApp and Facebook and door-to-door delivery and the product are available for 365 days through cold storage. methodologies

Arbind Shingh Dhoot is a graduate in Agriculture and started Agriculture in 2015. Besides selling the vegetables, he provides Consultancy (Free of cost), has a YouTube channel and Instagram page to guide the farmers on attest updates of Agriculture. He cultivates Seasonal vegetable (Exotic and Indian) in 1 acre on land and has developed a natural ecosystem in his fields. He has disseminated the knowledge of Kitchen garden to 152 families so far. He markets his products through A G Agro and Tech and is an Organic Farmer Awardee 2018.

Popularly known as Lemon Man from Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh, Anand Mishra worked at an MNC for 13 years after pursuing a degree in Business Management before opting for his passion for horticulture. He started practicing lemon cultivation in his village in a land are of 3.5 Bigha and plated 900 lemon plants initially. At present buyers do coming to his field to buy the producing because of high-quality produce.

Raja Manickam

Mr. Raja, a farmer who used to grow millets in 2 acres of his farm thought to opt for entrepreneurship in the field of farming. He went to study the same in Gujarat in the early ’90s and started in the enterprise in 1993. They started with Corn Flakes initially and went for millet flakes 5-6 years after the establishment. They purchase the raw materials from the hills of Kerala, Karnataka, and Maharashtra to maintain purity. As of now they sell a variety of flakes and Sweet bars in PAN India and are able to generate an annual income of 8-10 lakhs. He markets and sells his products through H-DIA Foods. hie popular products are Natural Hill Product, Crunchy Millet Flakes.

Sathenahalli Kumaraswamy

Sathenahalli Kumaraswamy

After getting inspired by a book in agroforestry, Sathenahalli Kumaraswamy resigned from his job at the post office and started working in the field of Agriculture. He has a farm acreage of 3 acres of which 1 acre is used to grow vegetables and 2 acres are used for multi-cropping. He grows 60+ varieties of vegetables and sells them through the door to door selling and earns a revenue of 1-2 lakhs per month through his brand Kumaraswamy Organic Vegetables.

Narsimha Raju

Narasimha Raju is the owner of Cold Space Agrotech India Pvt. Ltd., and a National Gold Medalist, ICAR 2006. He had 14 acres of the fishpond and 9 acres of wetland. He runs Integrated farming. His fish pond destroyed because of the operation Kolleru by Government in 2006. Then, in 2012 in order to make Agri and allied sector an organized one, he started Cold Space Agrotech India Pvt. Ltd where they focus on post-harvest management of fruits and vegetables with pre-cooling and storage integrated Ethylene based pressurized ripening chambers approved bd TS Government. He employees 15 people under him and is providing cold storage services to 170 farmers.
