Krishi Jagran Team Visits AARDO, Discusses MFOI Awards 2023

The Founder & Editor-in-Chief, Krishi Jagran, MC Dominic, along with Director Shiny Dominic and his team met the Secretary General of African-Asian Rural Development Organization (AARDO), Manoj Nardeosingh to discuss the idea behind the concept of the Millionaire Farmer of India Awards (MFOI).

The Founder & Editor-in-Chief, Krishi Jagran, MC Dominic, and Director Shiny Dominic on Monday, July 17, visited the African-Asian Rural Development Organization (AARDO) to meet and discuss the idea of the Millionaire Farmer of India Awards (MFOI) with the Secretary General of AARDO, Manoj Nardeosingh.

Mr. Dominic's purpose of visiting AARDO was to focus on "how MFOI Awards can be taken to a global level and how we can have international farmers, representatives, and stakeholders from AARDO member countries to the MFOI Awards," he said.

Mr. Nardeosingh was overjoyed to learn about the idea behind MFOI and was eager to participate. "It is so thoughtful of Mr. Dominic to initiate such a unique concept and we are looking forward to working towards the same," he said.

What is AARDO?

Established in 1962, African-Asian Rural Development Organisation (AARDO) is one of the earliest examples of South-South cooperation in rural development in the Afro-Asian region. It is an autonomous inter-governmental organisation comprising country governments of Africa and Asia. The aim of the organisation is to promote coordinated efforts, exchange of experiences and cooperative action for furthering the objectives of development of the rural areas. AARDO a non-political body enjoys observer status with various UN and other international organisations like Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), International Cooperative Alliance (ICA), Centre on Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific (CIRDAP), etc. It also promotes collaboration with various international organisations for the economic and social welfare of the rural community.

What is Krishi Jagran?

Krishi Jagran is a media organisation founded by MC Dominic on September 05, 1996. It promotes content related to agriculture. It circulates its content via print, digital and social media platforms in 12 Indian regional languages - Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Bengali, Assamese, Odia, Tamil, Malayalam and English. An English monthly Agriculture World has recently achieved a milestone at the 7th Vetivar festival.
