50 percent of Wheat Payment to Farmers in Haryana Cleared
According to the data, 82,953 "I" forms for 5,12,033.10 tonnes of wheat worth Rs 1,069.38 crore were uploaded on Saturday evening
With the acceleration of lifting of wheat and verification of ‘I’ forms, the procedure to clear the wheat procurement of farmers has also accelerated. According to the district administration's records, over half of the payments were made by various agencies on April 16.
Shiv Kumar Sandhala, district president of the Haryana Anaj Mandi Arhtiyas Association, said that grain lifting should be accelerated so that farmers can receive their payments on time. The lifting of wheat is being done at a good rate, stated District Food & Supplies Controller Kushal Pal Boora. He also said that they've lifted around 60% of the wheat crop which they had acquired thus far.
The procedure has accelerated in the last 4-5 days. According to the data, 82,953 "I" forms for 5,12,033.10 tonnes of wheat worth Rs 1,069.38 crore were uploaded on Saturday evening. As per the data report, multiple authorities cleared a total of Rs 586.68 crore after verifying 44,149 "I" forms for 2,80,908.15 tonnes of wheat.
For Hafed's wheat of 2,31,104.65 quintals of wheat at a cost of Rs 482.66 crore, 38,119 'I' forms were generated. A total of Rs 255 crore has been paid to 19,611 farmers.
The Haryana State Warehousing Corporation has posted 'I' papers for 4,020 farmers who purchased 27,284.05 quintals of wheat for Rs 56.98 crore. According to the statistics, it has authorized payment of Rs 32.21 crore to 2,256 farmers.
According to DFSC's Virender Singh, once the lifting procedure and verification of 'I' forms began payment disbursement began as well. The remaining payment will be cleared in two to three days, the DFSC added.
Deputy Commissioner Anish Yadav stated that he has instructed the departments to accelerate payment disbursement.
