Adopt Integrated Farming to Make Agriculture More Profitable: Kailash Choudhary

Kailash Choudhary, Union Minister of State for Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare visited the ICAR-Directorate of Rapeseed-Mustard Research, Bharatpur.   During his interaction with the farmers, the Minister urged them to adopt the integrated farming for making Agriculture more profitable. Shri Choudhary also opined that besides the crop cultivation, the farmers should also adopt animal husbandry, goat rearing, beekeeping and other agriculture-based occupations for enhancing their farm income. He stressed that the country’s prosperity can be achieved only with farmers’ prosperity.

Kailash Choudhary, Union Minister of State for Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare visited the ICAR-Directorate of Rapeseed-Mustard Research, Bharatpur.   

During his interaction with the farmers, the Minister urged them to adopt the integrated farming for making Agriculture more profitable. Shri Choudhary also opined that besides the crop cultivation, the farmers should also adopt animal husbandry, goat rearing, beekeeping and other agriculture-based occupations for enhancing their farm income. He stressed that the country’s prosperity can be achieved only with farmers’ prosperity.

He emphasized on taking agriculture as business rather than livelihood. The Minister urged the farmers not to leave a single inch of their land uncultivated. He encouraged the farmers for regularly visiting the nearby ICAR Institutes, Krishi Vigyan Kendras to get expert advice from the scientists regarding the different farm activities, seeds and other inputs, production and protection technologies and effectively implement them on their fields for enhancing the production and productivity. This would help in fulfilling the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of doubling the farmers’ income by the Year - 2022.
