CIFRI and CSRTI sign MoU for Utilization & Diversification of Silkworm Pupae for development of Fish Feed
The ICAR-CCIFRI Barrackpore has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CSB-Central Sericultural Research & Training Institute, Mysore for joint research proposal on “Utilization & diversification of silkworm pupae products for human and animal consumption & composting” at CSB-CSRTI earlier this week.
The ICAR-Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute (CIFRI), Barrackpore, Kolkata has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CSB-Central Sericultural Research & Training Institute, Mysore for joint research proposal on “Utilization & diversification of silkworm pupae products for human and animal consumption & composting” at CSB-CSRTI earlier this week.
Director of ICAR-CIFRI, Dr. B.K. Das and Director of CSB-CSRTI, Dr. Pankaj Tewary signed the Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of their respective organizations.
Under the joint project, the ICAR-CIFRI, Barrackpore will work on formulation & development of fish feed from silkworm pupae & field testing and transfer of technology of the product developed and technology in the field together with the CSB-CSTRI.
On the other hand, the CSB-CSRTI will provide financial support to the collaborative two years research project.
The Scientists as well as Staff Members of both the organizations were present during the occasion.
