Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan told private companies to stop snatching farm lands from farmers in the name of Contract farming. And he also mentioned about the recent decisions in some districts taken on the basis of new farm laws, and how they benefitted the farmers. And, also to get the justified price for their yield.

PM Addressed MP Farmers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed Madhya Pradesh farmers through video conferencing and during the programme state government has transferred Rs. 1600 Crore in the accounts of Madhya Pradesh farmers.

Chouhan also mentioned that, some parties are misleading farmers and provoking them on the name of new farm laws and misguiding them. These parties are those who are not even able to stand in front of PM Modi.

About Contract Farming

He said that some parties are misguiding farmers by saying that as per the new farm law, private companies will snatch the land of farmers on the name of contract farming.  Chouhan said, “Today, can any company dare to take possession of the farm land?”

CM Chouhan said that contract farming for farmers is to get the justified prices for their produce. And he said, “What is wrong with contract farming? In fact, farmers get the idea about the price of their produce at the time of sowing only. And farmers can sell their produce anywhere, whether its mandi or other market by getting the licence. And the main objective is only that farmers must get the good price for their produce.”

Kisan Credit Cards

He also mentioned that, BJP has given relief to farmers. And distributed Kisan credit cards and provided relief to the beneficiaries. And along with that, they also inaugurated the lay foundation stones of some agro-infra projects.

And after the video conference by PM, Madhya Pradesh farmers have no confusions regarding the farm laws.
