Farmers Applying for PM-Kusum Yojana Should Not Make Any Payment Online & Be Careful of Fraudulent Websites: Government

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan, popularly known as PM-KUSUM Yojana was launched by Central Government to increase the income of farmers & provide source for irrigation and de-dieselize the agriculture sector.

Besides PM Kusum Yojana, there are many government schemes in agriculture for farmers in India. 

PM-Kusum Important Update for Farmers

It has come to the notice of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy that many fake websites are asking the applicants or farmers to fill in the application form and pay registration fee along with the price of the pump in the name of Pradhan Mantri-Kusum Yojana. These fraudulent websites are asking farmers to pay the money online. Some of these fake websites are registered in domain names *.org, *.in, *.com such as www.kusumyojanaonline.in.net, www.pmkisankusumyojana.co.in, www.onlinekusamyojana.org.in, www.pmkisankusumyojana. com and many other similar websites.

Therefore, all farmers applying for Pradhan Mantri-Kusum Yojana are advised not to visit fraudulent websites and not to make any payment online. The Pradhan Mantri-Kusum Yojana is being implemented by the departments of various state government.

What is PM KUSUM Scheme?

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan was started with the aim to double farmers’ income and offer source for irrigation. PM-KUSUM Yojana got its final approval in March 2019 & the guidelines were framed in July 2019. This scheme was initiated by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) for the installation of solar pumps & other renewable power plants across the country. This scheme is divided into three components.

How to apply for PM Kusum Yojana?

To apply or register for PM Kusum Yojana, you must visit the official website - https://mnre.gov.in/. After filling application form, you will have to provide the necessary details like Aadhaar card, land documents, a declaration form, bank account passbook, etc. After the application form & documents are approved, you will be enrolled under PM Kusum Yojana.
