Farmers Can Now Withdraw PM Kisan Money at Home; No Need to Go to Bank or ATM

Now farmers won’t have to go to their banks to withdraw PM Kisan money as it can be done sitting at home with the help of the Department of Post.

As per latest reports, the postal department is starting a campaign 'Aapka Bank, Apke Dwar' to benefit the beneficiaries of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

Postmaster General of Varanasi, Krishna Kumar Yadav said, "Farmers can now withdraw money of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi at their doorstep with Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AePS) from their Aadhaar linked bank account. A postal representative will visit the house of farmers who wish to withdraw money & give the money with the help of a handheld device that requires the fingerprint of the person".

PM Kisan Special Campaign from 4^th to 13^th June

The campaign has started on 4^th June and will continue till 13^th June 2022, the officer confirmed.

The official said, “Farmers in the village are forced to visit a bank branch or ATMs that are scarce in rural pockets, to withdraw money of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. We are trying to simplify it for farmers with help of India Post Payment Bank & Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AePS),"

As we know that under PM Kisan Yojana, eligible farmers get Rs 6,000 per year, which is sent to their bank account via direct benefit transfer (DBT). The money is sent in three installments of Rs 2,000 each. The last installment was disbursed on 31^st May 2022.

A maximum of Rs 10,000 can be withdrawn

The official added that with the help of AePS, a person can easily withdraw a maximum of Rs 10,000. Moreover farmers can get the money anywhere they wish - be it their farm or house, through this facility.

He told that the system is mainly beneficial for people who live in distant rural areas, elderly or the specially-abled. Because the postal department employees are involved in the process, the transactions are safe as well as secure.
