Farmers can Withdraw Rythu Bandhu Money from Post Offices; Know How

The Department of Post on Friday (18 June 2021) said that the farmer beneficiaries of ‘Rythu Bandhu scheme’ can now withdraw money from their respective bank accounts in their respective villages - free of cost.

The Department of Post on Friday (18 June 2021) said that the farmer beneficiaries of ‘Rythu Bandhu scheme’ can now withdraw money from their respective bank accounts in their respective villages - free of cost.

According to a press release, for 2021-22 Kharif season, the Micro ATM services have been arranged at around 5,794 post-offices in Telangana for making cash payments to the beneficiaries of the scheme.  These facilties can be availed by farmers who have Aadhaar linked accounts of any bank from the village Post Office.

Besides Rythu Bandhu, there are many government schemes in agriculture that is benefitting crores of farmers in the country

How much money can be withdrawn?

The farmer beneficiaries can withdraw a maximum amount of Rs. 10,000 in a day.

How to use Micro ATM to withdraw cash?

In order to use a Micro ATM, farmers will have to visit the nearest post office with his or her Aadhar card and mobile, which is linked to any bank account. They can withdraw money by impressing fingerprint and providing the OTP received on their registered mobile number to the Post Master.

Benefits of Micro ATM

The Micro ATM service is free of cost as well as convenient to all the farmers during this pandemic. In addition, the facility is very helpful to the farmers not in a position to go to bank branch or fixed ATM for withdrawal of Rythu Bandhu fund during this current Covid-19 pandemic.

It is important to mention that an amount of Rs. 169 crore was disbursed under Rythu Bandhu through postal Micro ATM’s in the 2020-21 Rabi season to over 1.73 lakh farmers.

The press released requested all the farmers to adhere to Covid-19 pandemic appropriate behavior while taking money at postal Micro ATMs.

On 15 June 2021, the Telangana government had started crediting Rythu Bandhu fund to eligible farmers' accounts. The deposit program will continue until 25 June 2021.

How to check Rythu Bandhu status

If you want to confirm whether you have received Rythu Bandhu money or not then check your status by following the steps given below;

  • Visit the Official Website - https://treasury.telangana.gov.in/

  • Select ‘Rythubandhu Scheme Rabi Details’ option from menu bar

  • Then select year, type & PPB No

  • Click 'submit' button & status will appear on the screen
