Farmers to Get Rs. 5000 Under Rythu Bandhu From December 28; Check Your Name in the List

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao announced that a sum of Rs 5,000 per acre under the Rythu Bandhu scheme for Rabi season would be credited in the bank accounts of farmers from 28 December 2021.

He also reiterated that the paddy purchase centres will not be opened or paddy procured from growers in Rabi season pointing at the Central government for refusing to buy rice from Telangana for the season.

The Chief Minister in the review meeting held at Pragathi Bhavan has asked the district collectors as well as agriculture officials to reach out to farmers at the grass-root level to explain the Central government’s stand and save them from incurring loss by sowing paddy in the current season.

Rao also directed officials to complete the disbursal of Rythu Bandhu fund to more than 60 lakh farmers in the state within ten days starting from December 28.

He mentioned that the government will not impose any restrictions on Rythu Bandhu but advised cultivators not to sow paddy in Rabi season and get into trouble at the later stage as there was no question of state government procuring paddy from farmers.
