Good News for Farmers! Government to Release PM Kisan 8th Installment on 14 May; More Details Inside

If you are a farmer and waiting for the next installment under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, then your wait is finally over.

As per reports, the Central Government will start disbursing Rs 2000 to farmers' accounts from 14^th May 2021 (Friday). PM Modi will release the 8th installment of farmers under PM Kisan Yojana this Friday. Prime Minister will also interact with farmers across the nation at 11 am, according to Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Tomar.

To recall, under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the Centre provides Rs 6,000 per year to small and marginal farmers. The financial assistance to farmers comes in three installments of Rs 2000 each. The 1st installment of Rs 2000 comes from April to July, the 2nd installment comes between August and November and the 3rd installment from December to March.

Who can take benefit of PM Kisan Yojana?

This government support is given to farmers having combined land holding or ownership of up to 2 hectares. Since its inception of PM Kisan scheme in December 2018, the Centre has given 7 installments to the farmers.

How to check PM Kisan payment status

Step 1 - Visit the official website - https://pmkisan.gov.in/.

Step 2 - Look for ‘Farmer’s Corner Section' at the homepage.

Step 3 – Select the option - Beneficiary Status. Here, the farmer can check his or her application status. It will consist of farmer’s name and the amount sent to his account.

Step 4 - Now enter either your Aadhar Number / Account Number / Mobile Number.

Step 5 - And click ‘Get data’

Step 6 – The status will appear on the screen
