The event is being organized by Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, Minister of State for MSME, to bring about a coordinated effort between the state and the central government to promote the production of coir and coir products, as well as to identify new areas of application for coir. It would serve as a permanent platform for the Central and state governments to collaborate to promote and develop coir industry.
