Haryana Government to Offer Insurance Cover for Vegetable & Horticultural crops: J P Dalal
On Monday, 12th October 2020 Haryana’s Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Minister J P Dallal announced a scheme under which the state farmers would get insurance on their horticulture and vegetable products.

The new scheme would provide the state farmers with around Rs. 40, 000 per acre; it would also cover up vegetables like onions, potatoes, tomatoes, green chillies and 10 more other vegetables along with crops like turmeric, mango, garlic, guava and more 2 more horticulture crop.
According to Dalal the state’s new scheme is announced in order to help the farmers during any sudden cases and also to prevent them from borrowing money from the Agents popularly known as ‘Arthiyas’. There are plans made in order to aid the farmers during emergency cases too where they would require urgent financial help.
Lashing out on the Congress Dalal said that the opposition has been manipulating the farmers against the new laws. He also claimed that both the state and the central government (BJP leaded) have been indulged in helping the farmers. According to his statement farmers should be profiting not only from their farm produce but also from other ends for example animal husbandry.
With respect to the new farm bills amendments, he cleared that the mandis and the MSP will keep continuing as before and assured the farmers to not be misled by others and believe the ruling government.
