Inoculate Bacteria to Increase Strawberry Production

The scientists at the strategic institutional project UNSCH-FOCAM (Strengthening and Implementation of the Rhizobiology Laboratory for research and development) have been working with strains of Azospirillum in the nurseries of the school of Agronomy. 

This research started in the laboratories of the school of Agronomy; where work was carried out on the isolation and characterization of the various strains of Azospirillum. The strawberries were inoculated with bacteria that promote plant growth, and they conducted an evaluation of the fruit production. In order to select the best strawberry varieties and identify the types of bacteria that promotes plant growthThe rector of the UNSCH, Dr. Homero Ango Aguilar, congratulated the researchers and the thesis writer Eng. Susan Milagros Alarcón Romaní for the great work they've been carrying out. 

The strawberries were inoculated with bacteria that promote plant growth, and they conducted an evaluation of the fruit production. The end goal was to reduce the use of those fertilizers and agro toxics that are widely used by producers.
