Kharif Crop Procurement to Start in Haryana from October 1
The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India, as well as state procurement agencies such as Haryana State Warehousing Corporation and HAFED, will procure crops at the central government's Minimum Support Price (MSP).
The procurement of various kharif crops will begin next month in more than 100 mandis across Haryana. According to an official statement, Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal reviewed the arrangements for the procurement of moong, groundnut, arhar, urad, and til for the current marketing season and directed officers to ensure the smooth procurement of these crops from farmers.
According to the statement, Haryana expects to produce 41,850 metric tonnes of moong, 1,044 metric tonnes of arhar, 364 metric tonnes of urad, 425 metric tonnes of til, and 10,011 metric tonnes of groundnut this year.
The meeting's officials announced that the procurement of moong will begin on October 1 and will last until November 15.
From November 1 to December 31, groundnut will be available for purchase. The procurement of arhar, urad, and til will take place from December 1 to December 31.
The crops will be purchased at the central government's Minimum Support Price (MSP), according to the statement.
The crops will be procured by the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India in addition to state procurement agencies such as Haryana State Warehousing Corporation and HAFED.
More than 100 mandis have been established to procure these crops. According to the statement, 38 mandis have been established in 16 districts for the purchase of moong, 22 mandis in 18 districts for the purchase of arhar, 10 mandis in 7 districts for the purchase of urad, 7 mandis in 3 districts for the purchase of groundnut, and 27 mandis in 21 districts for the purchase of til.
