Kisan Credit Card: Call at These Numbers If You Don’t Get KCC in 15 Days

Many schemes are being run by the central government for the benefit of farmers. The Government provides Kisan credit cards (KCC) so that the farmers can take loans at low interest for farming or for their agricultural needs.

Many schemes are being run by the central government for the benefit of farmers. The Government provides Kisan credit cards (KCC) so that the farmers can take loans at low interest for farming or for their agricultural needs. 

How KCC is Useful to Farmers 

Earlier Kisan Credit Cards were given only to farmers. After this, the livestock farmers & then the  fish farmers have also started getting its benefits. In this way, all types of farmers can take  advantage of Kisan Credit Card as it is a very useful; through this scheme they can easily get loans of up to Rs 3 lakh at low interest. 

Many governments & Private Banks offer credit cards. Reserve Bank of India, issues credit card to the farmer within 15 days of applying. If this card is not issued within the stipulated time then you can also complaint against the bank. 

Who Can Get Kisan Credit Card 

Farming and horticulture farmers, Including livestock farmers and fish farmers can take advantage of Kisan Credit Card.

Terms &Conditions for Kisan Credit Card 

Your KCC will come only after fulfilling these conditions and these are as follows.  

  • The minimum age of the farmer applying for the credit card should be 18 years & maximum 75 years.

  • If the age of the farmer is more than 60 years, then a co-applicant will also have to apply.

  • If the farmer's age is less than 60 years, then after filling the farmer's form, the bank employee will see whether you are eligible for it or not.

 

  • While filling the application form for the credit card, it will also have to be told that the farmer who is applying for KCC, has not got any other KCC made from any other bank or branch.

Where Can Farmers Get Credit Cards? 

Farmers can get KCC from any Co-Operative Bank, Kshetriya Gramin Bank. Not only this, the farmers can also get from the following banks- 

  • State Bank Of India.

  • Bank of india.

  • IDBI Bank.

  • Punjab National Bank.

  • HDFC bank.

  • Axis Bank.

  • National Payments Corporation of India issues RuPay.

  • State Bank of India offers Debit/ATM cards in the name of Kisan Card.

  • There are other banks that offer credit cards including Odisha Gramya Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, BangiyaGramin Vikash Bank.

How Much loan Can Be Taken from KCC 

  • With the help of a Kisan Credit Card, a farmer can take a loan for his agricultural needs.  

  • Loans of up to Rs 1.60 lakh from KCC are provided without any security.  

  • On repayment of the loan within the time period, the farmer can withdraw the loan amount up to Rs 3.00 lakh through this credit card.

  • The interest rate of the loan can be as low as 2.00%. Along with this, short term loans up to Rs 3 lakh are given in 5 years.  

  • Its interest rate is 4%. Explain that the repayment tenure of the loan is based on the harvesting of the crop & the business period for which the loan amount was taken.

Documents Required To Get KCC

Keep these documents with you while filling the form, so that it will be easy to apply for KCC and these are as follows- 

  • Aadhar Card, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Driving License, any one document will have to be given for identification.

  • Any document submitted for ID proof will be valid for address proof.

  • Certificate of non-borrower from any other bank.

  • Applicant farmer's passport size photograph

Where to do if you don’t get KCC

According to the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India, the bank has to issue KCC within 15 days of submitting application. If the card is not issued within the stipulated time, you can file a complaint against the bank. For this you can approach the Banking Ombudsman.

You file a complaint to the Banking Ombudsman in whose jurisdiction the branch or office of the bank is located.
