Krishak Bandhu Yojana: 76 lakh Farmers Will Get Over Rs 2500 Crores; Check Other Benefits

Krishak Bandhu Yojana is being run by the Bengal government for the farmers. Under this scheme, 76 lakh farmers will be provided financial aid in Rabi season 2021-22. Under this scheme, a total amount of Rs 2500 crore will be transferred by the Bengal government to the accounts of these farmers.

Krishak Bandhu Yojana is being run by the Bengal government for the farmers. Under this scheme, 76 lakh farmers will be provided financial aid in Rabi season 2021-22. Under this scheme, a total amount of Rs 2500 crore will be transferred by the Bengal government to the accounts of these farmers. Let us inform that this amount given by the state government to 76 lakh farmers of the state will be different from the amount given in PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana 

63 Lakh Farmers Received Benefit of Krishak Bandhu Yojana So Far 

A total of 63 lakh farmers of the state got the benefit of the scheme during the Kharif season. But between Kharif season and Rabi season, 13.55 lakh new beneficiaries have been registered under  Krishak Bandhu Yojana. Now the total number of beneficiaries has increased to 76 lakhs and this time the government has planned to send 2500 crores. 

Date of Release of Amount Under Krishak Bandhu Yojana  will be announced soon 

According to an official of the Agriculture Department, the process is going on to give the benefit of the scheme to all 76 lakh farmers. The second part of the annual benefit under the Krishak Bandhu Scheme is usually distributed in the month of December or January. A senior official of the state government said that the date of disbursement of funds under the scheme would be announced soon. Let us inform that under this scheme, earlier on June 17, 2021, money was transferred to the accounts of farmers. 

Prior to May this year, farmers were given a maximum amount of Rs 6000 under the scheme. But only after coming to power after this year’s elections, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee increased the amount given to the farmers. Under the Krishak Bandhu Yojana, the amount is released to the farmers in two installments. Explain that in the Krishak Bandhu Yojana, farmers with cultivable land of one acre or more are given 5000 to 10,000 rupees. There is a provision to give at least Rs 4000 to the farmers who have less than one acre of land. 

Benefits of Krishak Bandhu Yojana:

  • Under the Krishak Bandhu Yojana, apart from getting money to the farmers in Rabi and Kharif seasons, many other benefits are provided, which are as follows- 

  • This scheme provides the benefit of assured income to the farmers. Under this scheme, an amount of 5000 rupees per acre is sent annually in 2 installments to the account of farmers. 

  • A maximum financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh is provided to the family of any farmer between the age of 18 years to 60 years in the form of life insurance cover. 

  • Under this scheme, the benefit of social security up to Rs 2 lakh is provided to the farmer family. That is, certain assistance is provided to the beneficiary farmer's family.
