As per reports, the government will provide financial assistance to the farmers whose crops have been ruined by untimely rains, thunderstorms and hailstorms in the month of April and amount will be soon credited to their account.
What is Krishi Input Subsidy Scheme?
The Department of Agriculture has launched the Krishi Input Subsidy Scheme for the welfare of farmer in the State of Bihar. Krishi Input Subsidy Scheme provides subsidy against the crops affected due to drought or flood during the month of July or September 2019. Under this scheme, the Bihar Government provides a subsidy to the farmers for the growth and development of agriculture. Rs 4,17,02,55,505 has been Credited to Farmer’s Account
According to Agriculture Minister Prem Kumar, farmers have suffered a lot due to untimely rains, thunderstorms and hail in February and March month of this year. So far, Rs 4,17,02,55,505 has been given under the agricultural input grant to the account of 12,35,532 farmers across the state.
Around 8,96,192 Farmers Have Applied for Agricultural Input Subsidy Scheme
Explain that the number of farmers whose crops were destroyed in the month of February is about 190747, in whose account Rs 55,84,79,119 has been sent. Apart from this, Rs. 3,61,17,76,386 is included in the account of 10,44,785 farmers whose crops have been wasted in March.
As per reports, farmers have faced huge crop loss in the Rabi season due to untimely rains, thunderstorms and hail. It includes crops like agriculture and horticulture, mangoes, litchi, flowers, vegetables, betel leaves, etc. Around 8,96,192 farmers have applied for their payment. The application of these farmers is being investigated, soon the amount will be sent to the farmers' account under agricultural input grant.
As per reports, 19 districts of the state have been destroyed in the month of April which consists 148 blocks of Lakhisarai, West Champaran, Samastipur, Begusarai, Gopalganj, Muzaffarpur, East Champaran, Khagaria, Bhagalpur, Saharsa, Supaul, Madhepura, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Purnia, Kishanganj and Araria. The state government will soon pay the affected farmers of these areas.
