KVIC Distributed Footwear Manufacturing Machines & 200 B-Boxes in Barabanki, Agra

On December 13, 2022, Manoj Kumar, Chairman, Khadi and Village Industries Commission, Government of India, distributed footwear manufacturing machines under the Leather Pilot Project in Agra district and honey bee boxes under the 'Village Industry Development Scheme' in Barabanki Janpad via digital mode.

The beneficiaries received five days of training from two self-help groups in the Barabanki District, "Vaishnav and Gyan," and were given 200 bee boxes and tool kits as part of the Honey Mission today.

On this occasion, Chairman KVIC spoke with the beneficiaries about the problems associated with beekeeping work and encouraged them to continue beekeeping work in their region. Later, feedback was collected about them, and they were encouraged to continue their work.

In addition, he distributed footwear machines and equipment under the Leather Craft Mission to 10 beneficiaries who had completed a 50-day training course at CFTI Agra in the district of Agra.

While interacting with the beneficiaries, the Chairman obtained first-hand information about the training provided and encouraged them to establish a leather industry by utilizing this project.

The Chairman also emphasized the importance of realizing the Prime Minister's dream of a self-sufficient India and creating new opportunities for self-employment through various schemes implemented by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission.

Officials from the State Office in Lucknow and the Divisional Office in Meerut, representatives from the Uttar Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board and the CSIR, were present.

Beekeeping will increase the amount of honey produced in India as well as beekeepers' income. Furthermore, the local population can profit from selling goods like beeswax, pollen, propolis, royal jelly, and bee venom.
