Here comes good news for farmers. The finance ministry has today (20th August 2020) said that a total of 1.22 crore Kisan Credit Cards have been sanctioned with a credit limit of Rs 1,02,065 crore.

Here comes good news for farmers. The finance ministry has today (20th August 2020) said that a total of 1.22 crore Kisan Credit Cards have been sanctioned with a credit limit of Rs 1,02,065 crore.
The ministry said in a statement that "In an effort to buffer the agricultural sector from the shock of COVID-19, a special saturation drive is underway to provide concessional credit to farmers through Kisan Credit Card. As on August 17, 1.22 crore KCCs have been sanctioned with credit limit of Rs 102,065 crore."

The ministry added, this will go a long way in reviving the rural economy and accelerating agricultural growth. Under the Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Package, earlier the government had announced provision of a concessional credit of Rs 2 lakh crore which is expected to benefit 2.5 crore farmers, which includes fishermen and dairy farmers.

What are the Documents required for Kisan Credit Card?

  • Aadhaar Card of farmers

  • Identity Card

  • Farmer’s Land acknowledgement

  • Ground measles number

  • Passport size photo of the farmer

  • Mobile number

  • Photocopy of bank passbook

How to get your Kisan Credit Card?

It is to be noted that, under PM Kisan Credit Card Yojana, only farmers can made their Kisan Credit Card. This Kisan Credit Card Scheme will be made by banks only.

Hence, if you also want to get your Kisan Credit Card (KCC), get in touch with your nearest bank as early as possible. After filling the application form for KCC from the same bank, fill all the relevant details and submit it to the concerned officer in the same bank.

Contact your nearest bank after taking the following documents. Attach the following documents with the application form in the bank and submit it to the concerned officer.
