LPG Cylinder Prices Hiked by Rs 250, Now costs a whopping 2250!

Prices of LPG cylinders have increased by more than Rs 250, from April 1 onwards. On Friday, the price of a 19-kg gas cylinder in Delhi increased to Rs 2,253. The price of a 19-kg LPG cylinder has increased by Rs 346/cylinder in the last two months.

On March 1, the price of a 19-kilogram commercial cylinder was raised by Rs 105, and then it was decreased by Rs 9 on March 22.

The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for commercial cylinders was increased by Rs 250. According to news agency ANI, 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders will cost Rs 2,253 in the national capital. Domestic LPG cylinder rates, on the other hand, remained constant. In the United States, a 14.2-kg non-subsidised LPG cylinder presently costs Rs 949.50.

While the immediate fallout of this price rise could be tea stalls, eateries and restaurants resorting to a pass-through, the development may also lead to another hike in domestic cylinder prices.

A 19-kg commercial gas cylinder will cost Rs 2,205 in Mumbai. The commercial LPG tariff in Kolkata was Rs 2,351, while a 19-kg cylinder in Chennai will now cost Rs 2,406.

Following the assembly elections, LPG, petrol, and diesel prices have risen. Since March 22, prices have risen by Rs 6.40 per litre in nine rate modifications.

According to a pricing statement by state-owned fuel merchants, aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices in the national capital were raised by Rs 2,258.54 per kilolitre (kl), or 2%, to Rs 1,12,924.83 per kl.

Jet fuel prices are revised on the 1st and 16th of every month based on the average international price.

ATF prices have increased every fortnight since the start of 2022. In seven hikes beginning January 1, ATF prices have been increased by Rs 38,902.92 kl or almost 50 percent.
