Mera Pani Meri Virasat Scheme: Haryana Government is Providing Rs 7000 to Farmers, Apply Soon

In this backdrop, government in Haryana launched ‘Mera Pani Meri Virasat’ scheme for replacement of paddy by maize, cotton, pulses etc. in one lakh hectare in targeted blocks having water table over 40 meters.

Mera Pani Meri Virasat Scheme
Mera Pani Meri Virasat Scheme has been launched by Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar. Under this scheme, the state government will provide Rs. 7,000 per acre to those farmers who will diversify more than 50 percent of their kharif season paddy area. Also, farmers will not be allowed to grow paddy in any new areas where paddy was not cultivated the preceding year.
Motive of Mera Pani Meri Virasat Scheme
While Haryana government wants to save the ground water through this scheme, at the same time, it is also encouraging the farmers to produce other crops. If a farmer produces crops such as cotton, tur, maize, bajra, urad & moong instead of traditional cultivation of paddy, then they will be given a financial assistance of Rs 7,000. Apart from this, subsidy up to 80% will also be given on the micro irrigation.
31st July is the Deadline
The deadline to apply for Mera Pani Meri Virasat scheme is 31st July. This scheme is for farmers in from Haryana.
Eligibility for 'Mera Pani Meri Virasat' scheme

The beneficiary should be a permanent resident of Haryana.

Farmers who are using electric motor of 50 Hz power will not get the benefit of this scheme.

Farmers will have to diversify 50% of their previous year's paddy production.

Must have an active bank account linked to Aadhaar number.

Farmer has to login to agriharyanaofwm.com to register themselves on Mera Pani Meri Virasat Portal.

After opening the link, enter the Aadhaar number & press the Next button.
