Now Migrant Workers Will Also Get Rs. 2000 under PM-Kisan Yojana; Know What They Need to Do

There is good news for migrant laborers who have returned to their village after leaving their jobs or source of income due to Coronavirus and lockdown. As most of the labourers are associated with farming community the Government of India is trying to help them by providing some income support. Government said that it can provide them Rs. 2000, if they register under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Union Minister of State for Agriculture, Kailash Chaudhary in an interaction with News18 told that the laborers who fulfil the conditions should get registered under PM-Kisan Yojana and the government will help them.

Government took this decision to help the migrant labourers that include farm labourers in this crisis situation.

Know the conditions

Apart from the documents of agriculture land, it is necessary to have a valid bank account number and Aadhaar number to take benefit of PM Kisan Scheme.

How to register for PM-Kisan Yojana

For PM-Kisan registration, you don’t need to go anywhere.

You can apply by visiting the official government website i.e. https://pmkisan.gov.in

Here you will have to look for Farmer's corner and register yourself.

People who will not get benefit

Officers in the central or state government and farmers who get more than Rs. 10000 pension will not get benefit of this government scheme. Farmers who paid income tax in the last financial year will also be deprived of the benefit. Doctor, engineer, CA, lawyer, architect, current or former minister, mayor, district panchayat president, MLA, MLC, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha members are excluded from the scheme.

Also if your bank account is not linked with Aadhaar card then also you won’t get the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
