A young boy from Telangana has developed a paddy filling machine that makes dropping of paddy in gunny bags easy for the cultivators.

13-year-old Marripalli Abhishek hails from Hanumajipet village in Telangana’s Rajanna Sircilla district. He is currently in class VIII in a local Zilla Parisheth High School. His father Laxmirajam went to Dubai around 6 months back in search of job as he was not able to raise cultivation in his small land to improve income.

This little boy got the idea to invent a paddy filling machine after observing his mother Rajavva struggle in filling the gunny bags with paddy at the Indira Kranthi Patham (IKP) paddy purchasing center.

After developing the idea to formulate the paddy filling machine, he shared it with his class teacher Mr. Venkatesham who then motivated him to go ahead and also promised to give final shape to the whole concept.

The machine can apparently do the task of 3 people. And all it requires is - 2 wheels, an iron sheet, weighing and stitching machines and few iron pipes rods. In addition the machine can be easily moved from one place to another and costs just Rs 5,000.

Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao, TRS party president recognised the young boy’s talent and applauded him with a cheque of Rs 1, 16,000. He also gave assurance that he will bear all his educational expenses.

While talking to ANI, Abhishek said that the paddy filling machine will be useful to the farmers as well as labourers in the IKP centers.

He said, “All the labourers & women work very hard to fill the paddy into gunny bags. Generally four people are engaged in filling up 1 gunny bag, this machine can do the task of 3 persons at a time. And if the government supports me then I am interested in inventing more such machines in future”.
