PM Kisan Big Update! 54000 Eligible Farmers Yet to Complete e-KYC

The next installment of PM Kisan yojana is likely to be released in August hence before that all the beneficiaries must complete their e-KYC.

Around 50% of farmers of Indore, Madhya Pradesh who are eligible under the Central Government’s PM Kisan Scheme would be deprived of the 12th installment of Rs 2000 as they haven’t completed electronic know your client (e-KYC) details till now.

The administration has identified as many as 54,000 out of 1.12 lakh beneficiaries in the district. Hence it has asked the officials concerned to contact these farmers and help them complete the required work by 31 July 2022, the deadline set by the Central government.

Pawan Jain, Additional Collector of Indore said, “As per instructions, eligible farmers should update their e-KYC using online or offline methods to receive the next installment of PM Kisan”.

He further told that Aadhaar-based payment system has now been started under ‘PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana’ and for this, the e-KYC of the beneficiary & linking of his bank account with the Aadhaar card number is mandatory.

Jain added that the Central government provides monetary assistance of Rs 6000 every year to farmers eligible under the scheme. The amount is deposited directly to their bank accounts (which are now Aadhaar-linked) of the farmers in three instalments of Rs 2000 each.

The government of Madhya Pradesh has also started providing financial assistance to eligible farmers in the state. The next installment of PM Kisan yojana is likely to be released in August hence before that all the beneficiaries must complete their e-KYC .

The Additional Collector mentioned that in Madhya Pradesh, there are over 32 lakh farmers, of which 1.16 lakh are in Chhindwara and around 10 lakh each in Ratlam, Ujjain, Betul, Rewa & districts with incomplete e-KYC.

He told that “We have taken the work of completing e-KYC of eligible farmers as a campaign by informing them via public announcements in villages as well as panchayat secretary and patwari.”
