PM Kisan Big Update: More Than 10 crore Farmers to Get 13th Installment Next Week!

PM Kisan Latest news: Good news for farmers ahead of Christmas and New Year! As per several media reports, the Centre can release the 13th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana anytime now.

A few media reports claimed that it could be released on December 25, i.e., ‘Christmas’ as well as the birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee (former Indian Prime Minister). In 2020, the government had transferred the financial assistance of Rs. 2000 to farmers account on December 25. Hence chances are there that this year too, farmers may get money on the same day. However, till now no official announcement has been made regarding this.

If the money is not released on December 25 then it might be transferred in the first week of January 2023.

Many farmers may not get 13^th Installment

It must be noted that farmers who have not updated their e-KYC done till now will not get the 13th installment. Government had made it very clear and even reminded again and again that those who will not update e-KYC will not be given the financial assistance and their name will also be removed from the list.

Such farmers can visit the nearest agriculture department or Common Service Centre and check if they can still update their e-KYC.

e-KYC was made compulsory to prevent fraud and scams that had been going under the scheme since past few months.

How to do e-KYC

There are two ways to complete e-KYC - first offline and second online. Below we have mentioned the online procedure;

Visit the official website of PM Kisan Yojana 

Click on e-KYC on the right side of the website under farmers corner section.

Enter your Aadhaar number.

Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number.

After that click on 'Submit'.

Your-KYC is done.

PM Kisan Yojana is one of the successful schemes of the Central Government. Under this, financial assistance of Rs 6,000 is given to farmers every year in three installments of Rs 2000 each. The first installment is given in between April 1 to July 31, the second installment from August 1 to November 30 and the third installment between December 1 and March 31. So far, the government has released 12 installments.
