PM Kisan Update: Anantapur District of Andhra Pradesh gets PM Kisan National Award

Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh has received the PM Kisan National Award for achieving 99.60 percent of verification of beneficiaries under the Central government scheme

PM Kisan Yojana: As per news reports, Anantapur district in Andhra Pradesh has received the PM Kisan National Award for achieving 99.60 percent of verification of beneficiaries under the Central government scheme launched with the aim to help farmers.

Gandham Chandrudu, District Collector and Agriculture Department officials will receive the award at the 2nd anniversary celebrations of ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana’ in New Delhi on 24 February.

There are 28,505 beneficiaries of PM Kisan Yojana in Anantapur district.

Chandrudu said in a release that the district administration is doing its best to ensure benefits of all Central as well as State welfare schemes reach the beneficiaries on time. He added that Anantapur district is always in the forefront in taking the welfare schemes to the doorstep of people. He also told that the district unit of the Department of Horticulture recently got the SKOCH Award for Agriculture.

About PM Kisan Yojana

Under PM Kisan Yojana that was launched on 1 December 2018, the Central government provides income support of Rs. 6,000 per year to the farmers in three equal instalments of Rs. 2000 each. In order to avail the benefits of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, farmers can register online at the official website - https://pmkisan.gov.in/

The eighth or the last installment of PM Kisan Yojana for Financial Year 2020-21 is likely to come in March. Hence, if you have not yet registered for the scheme then do it immediately to get financial support.
