PM-Kisan Yojana: Centre Releases Funds to 43.2 Lakh Farmers of This State

As per latest reports, around 43.20 lakh farmers of this state have received money from Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana till November 2019, under which the Centre gives Rs 6,000 per annum in three installments of Rs 2000 each.

As per latest reports, around 43.20 lakh farmers of this state have received money from Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana till November 2019, under which the Centre gives Rs 6,000 per annum in three installments of Rs 2000 each.

According to the agriculture ministry data, till November 2019, about 46.86 lakh farmers have been registered under PM-Kisan yojana in Andhra Pradesh, out of which 43.20 lakh farmers have received funds released by central government.

Talking about districts wise, so far funds have been released to around 4.72 lakh farmers in Anantapur; 4.05 lakh in Kurnool; 4 lakh in East Godavari; 3.89 lakh in Guntur; 3.75 lakh in Chittoor; 3.48 lakh in Prakasam; 3.22 lakh in West Godavari & 3.04 lakh in Krishna.

In addition, money was released to 2.83 lakh farmers in Visakhapatnam; 2.56 lakh in YSR district; 2.40 lakh in Vizianagaram & 2.28 lakh in Nellore, according to data. The target is to cover as many as 83.82 lakh farmers in Andhra Pradesh under PM-Kisan Yojana.

Under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, which was launched early this year, Centre has transferred funds to 7.60 crore beneficiaries across India till 30th November 2019. Around Rs 35,882.8 crore has so far been distributed to beneficiaries.

From December onwards, Central government has decided to transfer money under the PM-Kisan to only Aadhaar-verified bank accounts of farmers.

Agriculture ministry said the release of installments to beneficiary farmers are in different stages of progress. Some farmers have received all the three installments, some have got two installments and some have received just one.

The Andhra Pradesh government in October had launched the ‘Rythu Bharosa’ scheme that provides a cash incentive for farm inputs. Under this scheme, land holder farmers with up to 5 acres will be given with an annual benefit of Rs 13,500. The amount also includes the annual benefit of Rs 6,000 / family provided by Central government under PM KISAN Yojana. Tenant farmers or landless cultivators from SC, ST, BC & minority groups are also covered by the state government’s scheme.
