A Happy Beneficiary of PM Kisan

To fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of doubling farmer’s income, the Central, as well as State Governments, have been running many schemes. Today we will tell you about a scheme that is very beneficial for the farmers.

Farmers will get Rs. 42000 per year

Let me tell you how?

To get Rs. 42000 annually farmers will have to register for two important government schemes i.e. PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and PM Maandhan Yojana. Farmers who are already taking benefit of PM Kisan Yojana will not have to provide separate documents for PM Maandhan Yojana.

Now let me explain to you in detail – under PM Kisan Yojana, the government transfers Rs. 6,000 directly in the account of farmers in three equal installments. Now under the second scheme, PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana, the government gives a pension of Rs 3,000 every month (Rs. 36000 annually) to the farmer after the age of 60 years. Basically, this is a pension scheme for the farmers.

PM Kisan Maandhan Eligibility

  • Minimum 18 years

  • Have cultivable land up to 2 hectares

How much contribution is needed?

Farmers will have to make a monthly contribution of Rs.55 to Rs.200 - depending on their age of entry.

Documents Required

  • Aadhaar Card

  • Bank Passbook and Account Details

  • Birth Certificate

  • Address Proof

PM Maandhan Registration Process

A farmer can do self-registration online or through Common Service Centres (CSC) in different States. The enrollment process is free for all applicants. But, Rs.30/- will be charged as enrolment process fees at the CSC which is borne by the Government itself.

After the registration process is completed, an auto-debit mandate form will be generated by the bank of the beneficiary that is duly signed declaring the consent of the farmer for auto-debit of contributions every month.

Added Benefit

If you have already registered for the PM Kisan scheme then you don't have to submit any separate document for PM Maandhan Yojana.
