Farmers of these states have another chance
The farmers of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Assam and Meghalaya have time to get their account linked with Aadhaar number. The last date for this is 31st March 2019. Government has made it clear that farmers, who will not get their account linked to the Aadhaar number till 31st March, will not get Rs. 6000 through this scheme.
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has recently completed one year. Under this scheme, farmers of the country are given financial assistance of Rs 6000 annually. This amount is sent directly to farmers bank accounts in three installments of Rs. 2000 each.
Efforts are being made to benefit more than 14 crore farmers across the country. However, the benefit of PM-Kisan scheme is not available to the farmers of West Bengal, because the state government has not given the list of farmers of the state to central government.
