PM Modi Releases 8th Installment of PM-Kisan Yojana; Check Account Balance & Beneficiary Status Here

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released the much-awaited 8th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, popularly known as PM-Kisan scheme via video conferencing today (14 May 2021).

As part of the 8th installment, over Rs. 19,000 crore has been transferred in the bank accounts of more than 9.5 crore beneficiary farmer families.

In addition, PM Modi also interacted with the beneficiaries of PM Kisan yojana after releasing the fund. Union agriculture minister Narendra Tomar was also present at the event.

What is PM Kisan Yojana

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, launched in 2019, is one of the most beneficial scheme of Central Government aimed at providing financial assistance to the farmers of the country. Under this government scheme, small and marginal farmers with two hectares of land is given Rs. 6000 every year. This amount is paid in three installments of Rs. 2000 each.

Until now, Rs. 1.15 lakh crore has been distributed to farmer families under PM Kisan scheme, a government release issued on 13 May 2021 claimed.

How to check PM Kisan status

1. You can follow the steps mentioned below to check PM Kisan balance;

2. Go to the official website of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme - https://pmkisan.gov.in/. You will get all latest updates on this website.

3. Now look for ‘Farmer’s Corner Section.

4. Then select ‘Beneficiary Status option. In this, the beneficiary can find his or her application status for PM Kisan. The list will have farmer’s name and the amount sent in his bank account.

5. After that, select the name of your state, district, Sub-District, Block & Village one by one from the drop down option.

6. After completing all this, click on the ‘Get Report’
