Let me tell you that you can start this business from just Rs. 20 thousand in the beginning. You can start it at a small or big level according to your need. After this, you can increase the size of the business when profit and sales increase. 

How much does this plant cost?   

Nowadays it is widely used as a lucky plant. It is also used for decoration at home and office. Because of this, their demand is very high nowadays. Nowadays the price of these plants in the market can range from Rs 200 to around Rs 2500. Apart from this, the people who are fond of Bonsai plant are also ready to pay its asking price. 

There are Two Ways You Can Do Business 

In the first way, you can start this business with very little capital. But it will take you some time. Because, Bonsai plant takes at least two to five years to get ready. Apart from this, you can bring plants prepared from nursery and sell them at 30 to 50 percent more price. 

 Which Items will be Needed? 

To start this business you need clean water, sandy clay or sand, pot and glass pots, ground or roof, 100 to 150 square feet, clean pebbles or glass tablets, tapered wire, spray bottle to sprinkle water on the plant. If you start this business on a small scale, then there will be an investment of about 5 thousand rupees. At the same time, if you increase the scale a bit, then it will cost up to 20 thousand. 

Government Will Help So Much 

An average cost of Rs 240 per plant will be spent in three years, out of which Rs 120 per plant will get government assistance. In other areas except North East, 50 percent government and 50 percent farmers will be employed for its cultivation. The central share will be 60 per cent and 40 per cent state share in 50 per cent government share. 

On the other hand, in North East 60% government and 40% farmers will plant Bonsai. The Nodal Officer of these districts will give you complete information. 

You Can Earn Upto 3.5 lakh 

Depending on the need and species, you can plant 1500 to 2500 plants in a hectare. If you plant a plant at 3 x 2.5 meters, then about 1500 plants will be planted in one hectare. Together you can grow a second crop in the space between the two plants. After 4 years, you will start earning from 3 to 3.5 lakh rupees. 

No need to do a transplant every year as the bamboo plant lasts for about 40 years. If you plant bamboo at 4 x 4 meters on the ridge of the field along with other crops, you will start earning about 30 thousand rupees in one hectare from the fourth year. Its cultivation reduces the risk factor of the farmer as  the farmer can also do other farming among bamboo.
