Rajasthan Extends Interest Waiver Scheme for Agri Traders till 31st December

Giving some relief to agri traders in Rajasthan, CM Ashok Gehlot on 12^th October has  further extended the interest waiver scheme till 31st December for recovery of outstanding money towards the committees. 

Due to the corona virus pandemic the state has declared a scheme to put off with 75 percent of the total principal amount and around 25 percent of the interest amount of the unpaid dues of around Rs 68 crore from the mandis and other sectors of agriculture committees. The entire scheme was planned and was declared as valid till 30^th of September, 2020.

However, the scheme was extended earlier this week because of the concerns raised by various trade unions and agriculture committees till 31^st December so that various agriculture traders would get some aid during the crisis.

The state’s CM has also given his allowance for removing the farmer’s welfare and mandis fees so that they can buy the pulses and oil seeds for the next kharif season 2020-2021 at the lowest known price.

The central government have also issued guidelines approving the idea of removing the fees for transportation, storage, purchase and sale of crops like soya bean, groundnut, moong and urad at minimum price for the next Kharif season.

Another big decision made by the state is that all the working faculties which is around 1, 066 in number, who have arrived as a guest at various ITI’s in the state would be paid for their work during the lockdown. A sum amount of Rs. 4.33 crore of expense would be handled by the state.
