At FICCI Agri Start-up Awards 2021 in New Delhi (recently held), RMSI Cropalytics, the agri-tech subsidiary of RMSI, a global leader in geospatial and engineering solutions, won an award in the 'Best Women Agtech Entrepreneurs' category.

According to Roli Jindal, Co-Founder of RMSI Cropalytics, women accounts for about 75 percent of all farm labour in India today. "Working in agri-tech, then, by definition, entails working to benefit women on a massive scale."

Domain Specializations-Agtech

"I thank the esteemed judges for this award on behalf of my entire team at RMSI Cropalytics." Jindal expressed his gratitude to FICCI for establishing a category for 'Business Women in Agri-tech.'

RMSI Cropalytics specializes in agri-tech, which combines advanced modeling, machine learning, and agri- and meteorological domain experience to give extensive agricultural data and analytics.

Farmer credit rating, farmer decision support systems, and rural marketing support analytics for decision-makers in government, crop insurance, agriculture inputs, commodities trading, and social sectors are among the other areas of competence, according to the sources.

Satellite/Drone Technology

The company uses cutting-edge and scalable data-collecting technologies such as satellites and drones, mobile platforms, and ground-level IoT sensors to create models based on artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) that use advanced forecasting methodologies and predictive analysis.

Four other categories were included in the FICCI Agri Start-UP Awards 2021: Most Innovative Agtech-Emerging Startup, Most Innovative Agtech-Mature Startup, Best Agri Startup Promoting Climate Resilience, and Best Agri Startup Creating Social Impact.

The FICCI Awards, according to TR Kesavan, Chairman, FICCI National Agriculture Committee and Group President, TAFE, have become a prominent forum for businesses to display their potential.

"We've seen young entrepreneurs come up with ideas, innovations, and business models to support farmers and help them attain scale and sustainability in the last few years," he continued.
