The sixth instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme is scheduled to be paid on August 1.The government claims that the scheme will be beneficial to over 10 crore farmers across the country.

The  Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme was launched by prime minister Narendra Modi  on 01.12.2018 and is 100% funded by the central government in which the government provides Rs. 6000 annually in three instalment of Rs. 2000 each.

Farmers whose data has been approved can check their status on pmkisan.gov.in and those who have not applied can still apply for the scheme. The applicant has to provide details of their Aadhar Card, Bank and also provide personal details. The government has claimed that over 74 thousand crore have been provided until now under this scheme. The officials have been running awareness campaigns about the scheme so that more farmers can benefit under this scheme.

One of the main problems is that many farmers have filled incorrect details which have exempted them from receiving the subsidy under the scheme.

Applicants can check the status of their subsidy by logging onto the government’s official website pmkisan.gov.in and check their status by clicking on the ‘Farmers Corner’. Any details that have not been updated correctly can also be found at the website.
