Solar Pump Yojana: Govt Releases the First Beneficiary List of PM KUSUM 2020; Registration Going on

Amid the countrywide lockdown, the government is gearing up for implementing agriculture Solar Pump across the nation and online applications are being accepted for component A of Kusum Yojana in the state of Rajasthan. The main objective of Rajasthan Kusum Yojana is to provide solar-powered agriculture pumps for irrigation to solve the huge water problems that have been facing by the farmers across the state.

Amid the countrywide lockdown, the government is gearing up for implementing agriculture Solar Pump across the nation and online applications are being accepted for component A of Kusum Yojana in the state of Rajasthan. The main objective of Rajasthan Kusum Yojana is to provide solar-powered agriculture pumps for irrigation to solve the huge water problems that have been facing by the farmers across the state. Under this scheme, the central government and Rajasthan state government will convert 3 crore petrol and diesel irrigation pumps into tire energy pumps. In the first phase of this scheme, around 1.75 lakh pumps of the country which runs through diesel and petrol will be converted into solar panels, say reports. 

Rajasthan Solar Pump Yojana Registration 2020 

The state government of Rajasthan is gearing up for implementing the central government’s ambitious agriculture Solar Pump across the state. The responsibility for implementing KUSUM Yojana has been given to Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECLMIS) and the registration process is going on As per reports, the total cost of setting up 3 crore solar power plants targeted by 2022 under Kusum Yojana 2020 will be 1.4 lakh crores (1.4 Lakh Cr Total Cost), out of which a contribution of 48 thousand crores will be contributed by the Central Government. Under this Kusum Yojana 2020, the farmers will have to pay only 10 per cent of the total cost, while the provision of 48 thousand crores will be made from bank loan. 

Application Process Starts for KUSUM Yojana Component A:  

Applications are being accepted for component A of the Kusum scheme in Rajasthan. The responsibility of the implementation of this scheme has been given to Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECLMIS). Under Component-A of the scheme, the government promised that the decentralized solar power plants of 500 KW to 2 MW capacities will be set up on uncultivated / wastelands of farmers located in a radius of 5 km near 33/11 KV sub-stations of distribution corporations. Moreover, Rajasthan Kusum Yojana is not only limited to solar agriculture pumps, but it also includes the installation of solar power plants that comes under component A. 

Govt Releases the first beneficiary lists of Solar Pump Yojana 2020 

Moreover, the authority has released the beneficiary lists and the names of selected farmers on the official website of the government. The responsibility for implementing KUSUM Yojana has been given to Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RRECLMIS) and the registration process is going on. As per reports, the state government of Rajasthan has announced the setting up a total of 2600 MW of decentralized solar power plants on unused/barren land of farmers in the state in the next 3 years, under the direction of MNRE issued for Kusum Scheme in the Budget Announcement 2019. 

Rajasthan KUSUM Scheme Main Features 

Solar pumps ranging from 0.5 Mega Watt to 2 Mega Watt will be distributed under the Kusum Yojana by Rajasthan State Renewable Energy Corporation.

How to Apply Online for Rajasthan Kusum Yojana: 

First, the applicant will have to visit the official website of the scheme.  

  • Visit the official website of Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Ltd.    

  • Then click on Apply of Kusum scheme or Click Here "Apply for Kusum Scheme". 

  •  After doing this, the online form will open, which should be filled correctly.   

On this home page, you will see the option of registration "Online Registration". Click on this option. After this, all the information asked in the application form like name, address, Aadhaar number, mobile, etc. will have to be filled. 

Now after filling the information, finally click on the submit button. After successful registration, you are directed to submit 10% of the cost of the solar pump set to the approved suppliers by the selected beneficiaries. 

How to Check the Beneficiary List? 

  • Go to the official website. 

  • Click List of Registered Application for KUSUM or Click Here

  • A list of all the beneficiaries will open as soon as clicked.

  • As there will be many names on the list, so use the filter option to see your name. 

  • If your name is on the list, it means your application has been accepted. You can also see your application by clicking on "View Application". District wise, click on the name of the district at the end of the official page to see the list of 33/11 KV substations.

Application Fees- 

For the application of a solar power plant by the applicant, the application fee at the rate of Rs. 5000 per MW + GST ​​will have to be submitted in the form of a demand draft in the name of Managing Director Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation. (Rs 2500 for 0.5 MW, Rs 5000 for 1 MW, Rs 7500 for 1.5 MW, Rs 10,000 for 2 MW + GST)  

Eligibility for Rajasthan KUSUM Scheme:  

Farmers, groups of farmers, cooperative societies, panchayats, farmer producer organizations, and water consumers associations who have their own or lease land will be eligible to participate in this scheme and solar power producer (SPG) Will be considered.
