Farmers are Being Encouraged to Plant Palm Seeds Along Roads and On Pond

When a farmer named Marimuthu suggested that saplings be planted along roadsides, government offices, and ponds, Collector S Visakan announced that those who plant the most saplings in their area would be given a certificate of merit at a farmer's grievances redressal meeting held at the District Collectorate here on Friday would be given a certificate of merit.

He went on to say that palm trees are really valuable and useful to everyone. Waterbody encroachment, Panchami land, and other topics were discussed at the meeting.
