The University of The Netherlands Signed MoU with Goa Agriculture College
In addition to student exchange and Agri-technology, RCPR Community College of Agriculture in Savoi-Verem, Goa and HAS University from the Netherlands have signed an MOU for knowledge sharing. A group of academics from this university is now in Goa and has agreed to launch a number of activities over the next several years.
The HAS University team consists of Prof. Frank Verkroost, Prof. Linda Bonte, Prof. Hans Van Riel, and Prof. Henriette Van der Heijden. The discussions included participation from the RCPR Community College of Agriculture faculty as well as Manguirish Pai Raiker, the chairman of the RCPR Education Society, Pradip Lotlikar, Dr. Sachin Tendulkar, Varsha Pai Raiker, and Prof. Shrirang Jambhale.
As per the media sources, this launch would facilitate students to develop various skills during the course and every student will receive a certificate jointly from both institutions.
Holders of a successful qualification would be able to obtain employment in the Netherlands and surrounding European nations. Additionally, they could launch their own firms in the state, enabling value-added revenues. The state's and surrounding areas' agricultural goods have significant export potential.
Also envisioned was an internship programme for students from the Netherlands. They would begin to arrive in the subsequent semester.
Additionally, the students would also be allowed to launch their own businesses in the state, allowing for benefits through value addition. Agriculture-related items from the state and its neighbors have very large export potential.
During this period, the internship programme for Dutch students was also planned and they would arrive from the next semester to India.
Moreover, many research-based programmes that benefited farmers and allowed them to boost their revenues through value adds were presented. Additionally, classes focusing on the state's goods would also be initiated.
More frequent communication between the two organizations, which was halted for the previous three years owing to the Coronavirus pandemic, is planned. This initiative to promote education will also include participation from the Indo-Dutch Education Agency (IDEA). The governments of the two nations also support this programme for knowledge exchange.
