Thousands of Farmers Participate in Agro-Tech-Fair Krushived - 2020 at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Nanded

The ICAR-Agricultural Technology application Research Institute, Pune organized a three-day “Agro-Tech-Fair (Krushived - 2020)” at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Nanded -II.

The ICAR-Agricultural Technology application Research Institute, Pune  organized a three-day “Agro-Tech-Fair (Krushived - 2020)” at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Nanded -II.

Chief Guest, Dr.Ashok Dhawan, Vice Chancellor, Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani urged the farmers for not depending only on crops, but also incorporating all relevant enterprises like horticulture, vegetables, dairy, sericulture, fish farming, goat farming and apiculture based on their farm resources for the sustainable income. He opined the KVK for developing at least an ideal integrated farming system model at the farm which should be replicable among the farmers.

Dr. Lakhan Singh. Director, ICAR-ATARI, Pune highlighted about more than 100 stall put that have been put up by the Agri-preneurs, FPOs, Self Help Groups, Line Departments, NABARD and Input Agencies, etc. He urged for following the scientific approach to display the different farm technologies and latest varieties under similar management practices. He opined for using the innovative farming as change agents in the villages for faster technology application. 

Pramod Deshmukh, Chairman, Sanskriti Samvardhan Mandal, Nanded briefed about the agri-exhibition, scientists’-farmers’-interface and animals show. 

The senior officials of ICAR Institutes and State Government Departments were also present during the occasion. 

More than 2,000 farmers are participating in the programme.
