Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, stated that the Government of India wants to realize the country's vision of all-round and balanced development. Tomar stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes that if the strength of the Northeast grows, the country's strength will consolidate, and the nation will move forward.

"When it comes to overall development, the Northeast Region cannot be overlooked." As a result, we are constantly striving, through government schemes, programmes, funding, and institutions, for the northeastern region to be self-sufficient and capable of contributing fully to the development of the country. That is why the Prime Minister returns to this area on a regular basis, and he has also directed his cabinet ministers to visit this area on a regular basis in order to understand the difficulties here and quickly resolve problems related to their departments. He has launched many schemes for the development of the Northeast in recent years, in order to compensate for the years of neglect that have occurred here," said Tomar.

Tomar stated that it is a matter of fortune and happiness for all of us that our Prime Minister is Modi, who has the trust of the country and is gaining popularity around the world.

"When the country's leadership is capable and empowered, it is easier for citizens to move forward." If citizens are fully prepared, the leadership is strengthened to find solutions to the country's problems, and we can easily achieve our goals," he said.

Tomar stated that over the last eight years, the Union Government has worked tirelessly to eradicate poverty, inequality, and unemployment in our country.

"It is difficult to move forward when there is an imbalance in society and the country." After taking the oath, Modi began doing concrete work to eliminate poverty and imbalance; in this effort, crores of Jan-Dhan accounts for the poor were opened, and they have continued to benefit from numerous schemes. The central government has given more than Rs 2 lakh crore to 11-and-a-half crore farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme so far, with each farmer receiving Rs. 6,000 rupees per year. During Covid, the Center provided free rations to 80 crore people, as well as other services," he said.

Tomar later established the Honey Testing Laboratory in Dimapur, Nagaland, to assist beekeepers and processors in testing the honey produced. He also paid a visit to the Bamboo Museum and the Organic AC Market. Among those in attendance were Nagaland's Agriculture Minister, G. Kaito, Chief Secretary, J. Alam, Central Horticulture Commissioner, Prabhat Kumar, and other senior officers, distinguished people, farmers, and scientists.
