Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Minister Visits ICAR-NAARM in Hyderabad

Shri Surya Pratap Shahi, Minister of Agriculture, Government of Uttar Pradesh visited the ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad. The Minister was accompanied by the Delegation Members consisting Dr. S. Solomon, Vice-Chancellor, Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur and other Senior Officials of Government of Uttar Pradesh. Shri Shahi outlined the main objective of the visit to come out with the action plan for the agriculture development in the state in terms of research, quality teaching, training of stakeholders for enhanced capacity, etc. He also urged for having the national workshop inviting the Agriculture Ministers of different states to develop a collective roadmap for the agriculture sector in the country. This would help to achieve the Honorable Prime Minister’s Mission of “Doubling the Farmers’ Income by the Year - 2022”.

Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM underlined the Institute’s activates in terms of research, education, training and research policies covering the various sectors of agriculture in the country.

The delegation also visited the various laboratory facilities including the TELAgE lab.
