Uttar Pradesh Tops in Milk Production in Country: Durga Shankar Mishra

According to an official statement from the UP Chief Secretary's office, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the World Dairy Summit 2022.

Mishra urged the organizers to make sure that India performed well at the upcoming World Dairy Summit.

While reviewing the preparations for the World Dairy Summit 2022, UP Chief Secretary, Durga Shankar Mishra said that Uttar Pradesh is the leading state in the country in terms of milk production.

Mishra along with Devendra Singh Chauhan, the UP police chief were in Greater Noida to assess the World Dairy Summit 2022 preparations that will start on September 12 at the India Expo Centre and Mart.

According to an official statement from the UP Chief Secretary's office, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the World Dairy Summit 2022.

“India ranks first in the world in milk production and Uttar Pradesh is the first rank in milk production. After a long time, the World Dairy Summit is going to be organized in India. It is a matter of pride for UP to organize the summit in the state,” said Mishra.

“Delegates from India and other countries will participate in the event. Along with this, farmers from India and other countries will also participate in the programme,” he said, calling on the concerned authorities and agencies to ensure proper arrangements.

The senior bureaucrat instructed the local administration and police officials to make all necessary procedures to ensure that VIPs and international guests arriving from the country would not face any difficulties.

During the visit, the Chief Secretary and UP DGP interacted with Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissioner Alok Singh, Joint Commissioner Love Kumar, District Magistrate Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj, and Meerut Divisional Commissioner Surendra Singh, among others.

Mishra urged the organizers to make sure that India performed well at the upcoming World Dairy Summit.

“Cow's milk from India is famous for having high-quality standards. Therefore, the summit's organisers display good breed cows and make sure the event is successfully organised in India,” he added.

World Dairy Summit 2022

The World Dairy Summit of the International Dairy Federation is an annual meeting of the global dairy sector, attended by approximately 1,500 participants from around the world.

The participant profile includes CEOs and employees of dairy processing companies, dairy farmers, suppliers to the dairy industry, academicians, government representatives, etc.
