Link Your PM Kisan Account with Aadhar Card

Pradhan Mantri Samman Nidhi Yojana is one of the most popular schemes, introduced by the central government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had started this scheme in December 2018. Under this scheme, farmers & their families, with landholdings receive financial support from the government itself.  

PM Kisan scheme is one of many schemes by the Modi government, which requires one’s Aadhar card to be linked to the account of the beneficiary.

On the official website, the scheme is described as “Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PIV-KISAN) is a new Central Sector Scheme to provide the income support to all the landholding farmers’ families in the country supplement their financial needs for procuring different inputs related to agriculture & allied activities as well as domestic needs.

Under this scheme, the entire financial liability towards the transfer of the benefit to targeted beneficiaries will be borne by the government of India.

Farmers have registered for the PM Kisan scheme receive Rs 6000 every year from the government in 3 installments of Rs 2000 each. To avail of the benefits of the PM Kisan Scheme, the beneficiaries need to link their Aadhar Card with their PM Kisan account.

As for Aadhar Card, it’s a 12 digit Unique Identification Number (UID) issued to Indian nationals by the government of India.

Below is the Step by Step process to link PM Kisan with Aadhar Card

  • First of all, you have visited the nearest bank branch & carry your Aadhar card along with you.

  • In the presence of the bank officer, sign on the photocopy of the Aadhar Card.

  • The online seeding will then b done by your bank after the Aadhar card is verified.

  • Now, your 12 digit Aadhar card will be filled in your account just after this.

  • And, once the entire process is completed, you will then get an SMS as confirmation.
