In midst of the ongoing farmers' protests, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said on Monday that the well-being of farmers and the agricultural industry is at the center of all the Centre's initiatives and the government of Narendra Modi is doing its utmost to bring about new agricultural technologies.

Talking about government initiatives in the National Agricultural E-Governance Project (NeGPA), Javadekar said the well-being of farmers and the agricultural industry is at the center of all the initiatives of the Centre.

Through updating the National e-Governance Project for Agriculture (NeGPA), the Modi Government is doing its best to bring in new agricultural technology.

Prakash Javadekar tweeted, that the farmers welfare and the agricultural industry is at the core of all these initiatives by the government.

The Central Government on Sunday welcomed farmers' representatives to a new round of talks in the middle of efforts to end the unrest as farmers' unions continue their protest to demand the abolition of the three agricultural laws.

So far, the government has arranged several rounds of discussions with the farmers. Union Home Minister Amit Shah had a meeting with the 13 members of the farm unions on 8 December. A day later, however, a suggestion submitted by the Centre was refused by farmers' representatives.

Thousands of farmers have protested against the Farmers' Produce Exchange and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act 2020, the Price Guarantee and Farm Services Act 2020, the Farmers' (Empowerment and Protection) Deal, and since November 26, the Necessary Commodities (Amendment) Act 2020 on the Delhi borders.
