Integrated farming in five districts of tamil nadu

The Tamil Nadu government will soon implement the Integrated Farming System (IFS) scheme in five of its districts. The aim is to provide monetary assistance as well as technological support to the farmers through several agencies. The scheme will not only look after the food or horticulture elements but will also help agro-based industries like livestock farming. Goats, fish culture in farm pools, kitchen garden etc are some of the components of the IFS project.
