Top 10 crops to grow in September

It is the month when most of the plants come to the markets and seeds are also available and apart from this from 3rd Week of September till October mostly Kharif crops are harvested.

This is the month when most of the plants come to the markets and seeds are also available. Apart from this from the 3rdWeek of September till October most of the Kharif crops are being harvested. Vegetable crops such as lemons, tomatoes carrot takes long ripen time in the month of September but the plants like brinjal or the eggplant are ready to harvest. This month marks the end of monsoon and shifts towards the autumn. So we have to plan in that way…

In Hindi calendar, thisis the month of Bhadrapada – Ashvina. So, in September the rains are usually light and in short spells and days are sunny, the temperature stays between pleasantly warm to hot and it’s never too cold. This month plays a very equivalent role in four seasons framing. Late September to early December is the time where farmers get to see the reward of the growing season. 

It is the agriculture sector that employs a large population of India and also plays an important role in development of the economy. If we make a proper calendar and do farming and harvesting timely it will reduce pest, reduce the burden of fertilizers and even promote good soil productivity. So, let’s plan and make the month of September boon for India’s farming.
